Mayan Magic Captured: Wedding Photography from Ancient Ceremonies.

If you are looking forward to a truly different wedding, it is best to go for a traditional Mayan ceremony. It is a wedding officiated by a shaman, who will guide you through a ritual with strong nature connections. Mayan traditions are entirely different from what we are used to; they connect the couple spiritually with Mother Earth and focus mainly on their relationship’s emotional side. They are full of symbols related to the Mayan gods and typical music of this culture: drums, bells, flutes, snails… As Tulum wedding photographers, we have worked at many Mayan weddings, and we love them! Zorba Tulum is a suitable venue for that. Below you can find a selection of our favorite ones.

Tropical Treasures: Captivating Wedding Photography under Palapas.

One of the characteristic features of Tulum is its architectural design. The place is known for its ecological and environmentally friendly constructions. Sometimes we can find cabins made entirely of wood and interwoven palm leaves, and other times, modern combinations with concrete. The palapa is a traditional Mayan roof made of wood and palm leaves; it is a distinctive sign of its architecture, and it is the most used material of construction in the area. Casa Palapa is a good example; it is fantastic, comfortable, and connected with nature. Without a doubt, this type of architecture makes wedding pictures out of this world. It is the photographer’s paradise!

Seaside Serenity: Photography for Small Beach Weddings in Tulum.

Being a coastal area, all weddings in Tulum are held on the beach. The vast majority are settled on the white sand, just a few steps from crashing waves. Usually, these are weddings with few guests, between 30 and 80 people. Usually, the bride and groom stand under an arch specially decorated with flowers, and the guests sit on wooden chairs in rows. El Chiringuito and Mahayana Tulum are recommended for small weddings. But the options are endless! Sometimes the guests stand up and form a circle around the couple. The good thing about being on an open beach is that you can try new possibilities letting your imagination fly. We are very used to it as wedding photographers since it is our specialty field. Below you can find some examples. Below you can find some examples.

Hotels & Villas for Unforgettable Wedding Photography in Tulum.

Tulum has lots of small hotels and houses perfect for celebrating intimate weddings. There are also various price ranges, from the most modest to extreme luxury, always respecting the boho style concept. Small hotels have cozy cabins and larger restaurant areas, where the wedding guests and the bride and groom can accommodate. The villas are also an excellent option since you can enjoy greater privacy by renting the entire property. As photographers, we recommend choosing a venue with characteristic decoration and a particular design that makes the difference. Azulik and Casa Malca are good examples. Below you will find selected photoshoots of the most spectacular venues.
